Jarius Allie¹⁰ Fillebrown (Luther Williams⁹, Luther Williams⁸, James⁷, James⁶, Thomas⁵, Thomas⁴, Thomas³, Humpfrey² Phillibrowne, Robert¹ ffilebrowne)⁽⁸⁴⁸¹⁾ was born in Wayne, Kennebec County, Maine February 18, 1855.⁽⁸⁴⁸²⁾ Jarius died March 30, 1914 in Marion, Grant County, Indiana, at 59 years of age.⁽⁸⁴⁸³⁾ His body was interred circa 1914 in East Livermore Falls, Androscoggin County, Maine.⁽⁸⁴⁸⁴⁾

Jarius married Nancy Margelia Brown June 24, 1877.⁽⁸⁴⁸⁵⁾ Margie was born June 28, 1855 in East Livermore, Androscoggin County, Maine.⁽⁸⁴⁸⁶⁾ Margie⁽⁸⁴⁸⁷⁾ was the daughter of Caleb Welsey Brown and Emeline Maguire Pratt. Margie died April 4, 1938 in Marion, Grant County, Indiana, at 82 years of age.⁽⁸⁴⁸⁸⁾ She died at home at 1118 West 3rd.

Her body was interred circa 1938 in East Livermore Falls, Androscoggin County, Maine.⁽⁸⁴⁸⁹⁾ Margie, Caleb Welsey Brown's child, resided with Caleb in East Livermore Falls, Androscoggin County, Maine circa 1876.⁽⁸⁴⁹⁰⁾ When Margie was age 25 and Jarius Allie Fillebrown was age 25 they became the parents of Anna Louise Fillebrown September 30, 1880 in Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts.⁽⁸⁴⁹¹⁾ She became Anna Louise Fillebrown's adoptive mother September 1, 1884 in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.⁽⁸⁴⁹²⁾ Margie, as Jarius's wife, resided with him in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio September 1, 1884.⁽⁸⁴⁹³⁾ Margie moved from a home in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio to Marion, Grant Co., IN circa 1892.⁽⁸⁴⁹⁴⁾ Date unknown, Margie, a Methodist, was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.⁽⁸⁴⁹⁵⁾ She was a member for many years.

It was "built up on his own account one on the largest businesses of its kind ... employing fifty to seventy-five hands." "Its trade extended over the United States and into South America and the islands of the sea."

Jarius was a member of the I.O.O.F in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.⁽⁸⁵⁰⁹⁾ He held responsible offices in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Date unknown, Jarius, a Methodist, was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.⁽⁸⁵¹¹⁾ "From early manhood he has been an active member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, having served as class leader and Sunday School teacher and superintendent."

Jarius resided in Marion, Grant County, Indiana circa 1910.⁽⁸⁵¹²⁾ This house "....is one of the finest in the city" and was located at 1118 West Third Street where it had been built in 1902.

Jarius was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.⁽⁸⁵¹³⁾ Jarius was a member of the Benevolent Crew of Neptune in Marion, Grant County, Indiana.⁽⁸⁵¹⁴⁾ The "Genealogy of the Fillebrown Family" noted that "Diversion from his hard work he finds in music, both instrumental and vocal. While not posing as a professional, he is recognized as one of the leading baritones singers of his city (Marion, IN), and is in great demand for local recitals and festivals. For many years he has been connected with the church choirs of Marion, frequently as leader." The "History of Grant County" noted that "A Republican in his political views, he has stanchly upheld the principles of that party but has never displayed any tendency to engage in the political fray of the community. His active work is carrid on rather along civic than political lines, and he is recognized as a dominant force in the communal life of the city and as one who looks for the best good on the city in preference to the advancement of any political ideas. As such his life in Marion has been one of the utmost usefulness, and some mention of him and his work should be given proper place in an historical and biographical work of the nature of which this publication partakes."
