John married Elizabeth Young April 24, 1888.^(24103) Elizabeth was born December 28, 1853 in New York City, in one of several counties, New York.^(24104) Elizabeth^(24105) was the daughter of Dr. William Young and Anna Wier. Elizabeth died January 10, 1934 at 80 years of age.^(24106) When Elizabeth was age 35 and John Potts Fillebrown was age 30 they became the parents of Thomas Scott Fillebrown April 7, 1889 in Port Kennedy, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^(24107) When Elizabeth was age 37 and John Potts Fillebrown was age 32 they became the parents of Ellen Douglas Fillebrown May 28, 1891 in Port Kennedy, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^(24108) When Elizabeth was age 39 and John Potts Fillebrown was age 34 they became the parents of William Young Fillebrown June 27, 1893 in Port Kennedy, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^(24109) Elizabeth's will was probated about September 25, 1934.^(24110) The New York Times reported "She ".... left an estate appraised yesterday at $816,731 gross and $801,829 net, of which $158,837 was in securities. The bulk of the estate consisted of $635,731 as the value of a trust fund left her by her father, Dr. William Young of Cold Springs, N.Y. She gave the fund to her sons, Thomas S. and William Y. Fillebrown, and left other property to her sons and daughter Ellen D. Stiles."

John graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Northampton County, New Jersey circa 1880.^(24111) He obtained a degree in Mining Engineering.

John resided in Secaucus, Hudson County, New Jersey September 1884.^(24112) When John was age 30 and Elizabeth Young was age 35 they became the parents of Thomas Scott Fillebrown April 7, 1889 in Port Kennedy, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^(24113) John was employed at iron furnaces as a chemist and manager before 1891.^(24114) When John was age 32 and Elizabeth Young was age 37 they became the parents of Ellen Douglas Fillebrown May 28, 1891 in Port Kennedy, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^(24115) When John was age 34 and Elizabeth Young was age 39 they became the parents of William Young Fillebrown June 27, 1893 in Port Kennedy, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.^(24116) John graduated from Bellevue Hospital Medical Coll. circa 1897.^(24117) He received a degree as a Doctor of Medicine.

John was employed at organization unknown as Physician in Washington, DC circa 1910.^(24118) John traveled to United States March 28, 1913. He traveled on the ship Zacapa which was a 3 deck refrigerated ship that also carries passengers.
